    449 Kamal Qasim Al Hiti Dr Kamal Qasim Al Hiti, prof of sociology, was kidnapped in Baghdad on 14 Aug 2024, 4 pm. A few weeks ago he received a letter threatening him and contained a bullet. His tortured body was found in the Tigris river opposite the Green Zone in Karad district (under control of the Islamic Supreme Council - Badr Brigade). His face was partially burned, and he was tortured and hanged. He was very outspoken against the occupation.
