The three people, who were arrested with Uday Al Zaidi and who were still in detention, have been released on Sunday 27 January in the evening, after having endured severe beatings and electroshocks.

Arresting Our Brothers Who Work in South Freedom Movement, and A Disapproval of The Massacre That Happened in Fallujah

A group of savage soldiers from Squad 14, led by Brigadier Abdulhussein Al-Timimi / Akka Regiment in Al-Zubair Area in Basra arrested a group of the demonstrators there.

After a few hours of investigation, which of course included beating and humiliation, and after we signed a commitment statements, they released Uday Al-Zaidi, Raheem Jasim Al-Rumaidi and Saoud Hasan Al-Khafaji. They stole the camera and the cell phones, claiming that they did that for legal confiscation purposes. Three of our brothers are still arrested with those infiltrators, and we still have no information regarding their places. They are Saad Tarar, who’s a Member in South Freedom Movement, Saad Muhammad Al-Saeedi ( Abu Teeba) from Al-Nassiriyah, and Omar Abdulsalam Mansoor from Safwan District. They were arrested this morning by soldiers of the same Regiment.

Through this Statement, we hereby warn the occupation government, demanding it to release our brothers. We are calling the humanitarian, legal, civil and international organizations to play a role in protecting the peaceful demonstrators. We also deplore strongly the savage behavior in Fallujah when the gangs of Al-Maliki killed the peaceful demonstrators, who carried nothing but the Iraqi flags, and some banners with their legal demands written on them.

Where are the human rights? Where are the international organizations? Can’t they see what is going on in Iraq?

We will be demonstrating again in the same place – in Al-Zubair Entrance Square next Friday, hoping that our brothers in Basra and other governorates will participate in those demonstrations to support Iraq, and their brothers in the whole country, because history is irreversible.
